Importance of Interpersonal Skills

Today also I started reading my favorite book "YOU CAN WIN" by SHIV KHERA .I really enjoyed it and noticed some points on the topic "Importance of Interpersonal Skills." Which are following:
  • A pleasant personality is easy to recognize but hard to define.
  • Benjamin Franklin said "When you are good to others, you are best to your self."
  •  Tempers gets a person in trouble and ego keeps him there.
  • One should have an open minded rather than an empty mind.An open mind is flexible. It evaluates and may accept or reject ideas and concepts based on merits but an empty mind accepts ideas without evaluation.
  •  We always see things the way we are not the way the things are. Most of the time, other people's behavior is a reaction to our own.

Self-esteem

After so many days today I again started reading book "You Can Win" by shiv khera which is my favorite too.I started reading about self-esteem (self-respect).I really liked some concepts which we should also implement in our life because in my thought by heartening all winning concepts will not make any difference in our life until we will not implement them in our life.
Some are following:
1.Don't be like the student who failed just because he didn't like his teacher or subject. What do you think who is he hurting the most?
2.We need to do something that makes this world a better place to live.
3.Associate yourself with people of good quality,it's better to be alone to be in a bad company.
4.People doing bad things will say "I can quit whenever I want." People don't realize that negative influences are more powerful than will-power.
5.Set your own standards.Be honest to your self.Remember all times are not the same.Ups and downs are part of life.
6.Look for positive in every person and in every situation.develop a habit of giving positive self -talk to yourself.
After that I really liked the tips or peace of advice which Abraham Lincon gave to world on  his son's first day of school. Some of them are:
1.Teach him faith in his own ideas, even if everyone says him they are wrong.
2. Try to give my son the strength not to follow the crowd.
3.Teach him to listen others, but to filter all he hears on a screen of truth and to take only the good that comes through.
4.Teach him gently but not to coddle him because only test of fire makes fine steel.
 Really loved this book.
